How to Create a Contact List
There are two primary methods to create a contact list in UpLead:
1. Preemptive Creation via "My Lists":
Navigate to "My Lists": In the UpLead dashboard, click on "My Lists" in the main menu.
Create a New List: Click the "Create List" button. A modal will appear prompting you to name your list.
Name and Save: Enter the desired name for your list and click "Create List" to save.
2. Creating a List During Contact Search:
Perform a Contact Search: Use the search functionality to find contacts that meet your criteria.
Select Contacts: Check the boxes next to the contacts you wish to add. Once selected, the "+ Add to My Lists" button becomes active.
Add to List: Click the "+ Add to My Lists" button. A dropdown will appear with your existing lists and an option to create a new one.
Create and Add: To create a new list, enter the list name in the "Create List" field and click the "Create List" button and the list will be created.
Add the selected contacts to this new list by selecting the newly created list and clicking on the Add to List button.
Note: Adding contacts to a list does not consume a credit unless you choose to unlock or download the contact information.
Managing and Utilizing Your Contact Lists
Once you've created your contact lists, effective management is crucial:
Accessing Lists: Navigate to "My Lists" to view all your created contact lists, ordered by creation date.
Viewing a List: Click "View List" next to the desired list to see its contents.
Downloading Contacts: Click the download icon (downward-facing arrow) to download the list. Be aware that this action will consume credits for any contacts not previously unlocked.
Editing List Name: Click the pencil icon to rename the list as needed.
Deleting a List: Click the "X" button to remove the list permanently.
Within a Specific List:
Removing Contacts: Click the "X" next to a contact or select multiple contacts and click "Remove from List".
Adding Contacts to Other Lists: Select contacts and choose "Add to Another List" to duplicate them into a different list.
Downloading Contacts: Select contacts and click "Download" to export their information, consuming credits for any new unlocks or alternatively you can click unlock on the contact's email from the list
